Vaudeville Theatre

The Vaudeville Theatre is situated on The Strand and is the third of the reincarnations of the original theatre, which was first built in 1870. The original design was created by C.J. Phipps and the first theatre was created behind the frontage of the 2 tall houses that stood in The Strand, numbers 403 and 404. The theatre was always a very elegant little theatre and originally housed 1000 people. The refurbished theatre now only holds 690 but it still retains its quaint elegance and popularity as a former Victorian theatre still enjoying and thrilling theatre goers in the 21st century.
