London Theatre Tickets » List of London Theatres » Phoenix Theatre Phoenix TheatreThe Phoenix Theatre rose from the ashes of the Alcazar Theatre, which stood on the site in Charring Cross Road and was one of 5 new theatres constructed in 1930. It first opened its doors with a Noel Coward play in which he played the lead role along with Laurence Olivier. The Phoenix Theatre has had a mixed history of extreme highs and disastrous flops. The successes include 'Canterbury Tales', which ran for over 2,000 performances from March 1968, and its most current running show called 'Blood Brothers' which has been running at the Phoenix Theatre since November 1991 and is still running as at December 2006. ![]() Showing: Blood Brothers Phoenix Theatre | Performances | Information | Directions | History |
