London Palladium Theatre

The London Palladium is one of the West End's leading theatres, situated on Argyll Street and with a large seating capacity. The London Palladium first opened its doors in 1910. The site has been a circus, theatre and even a skating rink, but most famously the London Palladium became known for its live TV broadcasts from 1955, when it broadcast a star studded show into the homes ordinary people who couldn't otherwise afford to go to the theatre. Sunday Night Live at the Palladium was a must see show and lasted through to the 80's. The London Palladium has since been known for large scale live performances including names such as Judy Garland and daughter Liza Minnelli, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby to name but a few. More recently the London Palladium has staged productions including 'The King and I', 'Oliver' and 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'.
