The director was Stephen Daldry, the writer was Lee Hall and the choreographer Peter Darling. Between them, they have created a musical filled with dance and a story to tell of a young boy's passion to escape from his humble surroundings to the glare of the lights of stage and dance. The Billy Elliot Musical is a feel-good drama and is a unique blend of dance and a story line including laughter, tears, dance, confrontations, gritty determination, survival, joy, and a young lad who, against all the odds, proves them wrong.
