The Almeida is a 325 seat theatre in the heart of Islington, North London and is one of the newest theatres in London, opening its doors as a full time theatre in 1980, and is renowned for its own productions of leading West End Plays of the more intellectual offerings. It regularly stages an annual summer opera festival known as the Almeida Opera.
